Marvel is a sweet little Sheltie mix who is available for adoption. She is about 12 months old, she weighs just 19 pounds, and she has a soft sable coat and a full tail. Marvel is housebroken, mostly crate-trained (she is NOT a fan of her crate), and she is just starting to learn her basic obedience commands. Her leash-walking skills are still a work in progress because she loves to “sight-see” while walking and gets tangled up in her leash! Marvel absolutely loves to ride in the car and she is an excellent passenger.
Marvel loves people although she is shy when she first meets someone new. Once she gets over that initial shyness Marvel makes a friend for life! Marvel is a high Velcro girl who wants to be near her people everywhere and all the time, soaking up as many snuggles and pets as she can. She also loves other dogs! Marvel enjoys fallowing her dog pals around, playing with them in short bursts, and following them around the house and yard. She is a higher energy dog with a nice off switch. Marvel loves to run around with her humans, go for car rides, play with her dog pals, play with her toys, and take a few “power naps” throughout the day. She also loves to play in water! Marvel has experience with cats and leaves them alone.
The ideal family for Marvel is loving, available, and open to welcoming a sweet young dog into their lives. It is also very important that her new family continues her training as she still has a lot to learn. A fenced yard would be nice, another playful dog would be fabulous, any children in the home should be at least 10 years old, and it is very important that someone is home for most of the day – she loves people more than anything!
