Tink is a cute little Mini Australian Shepherd who is available for adoption. She is about 4 years old, she weighs 23 pounds, and she has a pretty red tri coat. Tink is housebroken, she is crate-trained (she loves her crate!), and she is just starting to learn some basic obedience commands. She walks nicely on leash, although she will pull with excitement when she sees something she REALLY wants to check out, and she absolutely loves to ride in the car.
Tink is quite shy when she first meets someone new, and she will even try to hide until she is sure that the new person is friendly. Once she is comfortable, she is a little lovebug who will quickly roll over for a belly scratch and who loves to give and get kisses! Tink is a medium Velcro girl who wants to be in view of her humans but she is comfortable quietly playing with her toys or napping when the humans are busy. Tink is fine with other dogs, and does best with dogs who are her size and share her energy level. Very large dogs or dogs with very high energy levels make her nervous. Tink is a medium energy dog with a nice off switch. She loves to play with her toys (she will throw and catch her own ball!), play with her dog pals, zoom around the yard and play games with her foster family, and when it is time to relax she will happily chew on a toy, take a nap, or just hang out. And of course, belly rubs and kisses are always welcome! Tink does chase cats, and even though she is playing she make the cats nervous.
The ideal family for Tink is playful, loving, and willing to give this very sweet girl the time she needs to get comfortable in her new home. A fenced yard is required, another playful dog of about her size would be welcome, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.
