Terry is a handsome Spaniel/Aussie mix who is ready for his forever home. He is 4-5 years old, weighs 49 pounds and has a very nice mostly white and tan coat with black freckles! Terry is housebroken, crate-trained and knows sit, shake, and loves his couch time!
Terry loves his people and is wary of visitors and strangers. Terry is looking for a quiet place to live and share his over abundance of affection to his owners. He is not a neighborhood-walking dog and requires a savvy owner to instill some discipline. But you will never find a more loyal dog to one that he declares as a friend. Terry loves nothing more than to curl up next to you on the couch and keep you safe.
Terry is a medium energy dog who does not really play with toys. Terry gets along great with the female dogs in his foster home and seems to really prefer the “lady dogs”. Male dogs aren’t his thing Terry mostly ignores cats (but may give chase at first for a bit).
The ideal home for Terry is a quiet one, with a person or two looking for a guy who is happy to hang out with them around the house and yard. A fully fenced yard is important and a “lady dog” friend would be fine with him. A commitment to continued training and he will go far toward being your best friend ever, and he does need a strong human leader who can give him structure.
