Winnie is an amazing mini Aussiedoodle who is ready for adoption. She is just one year old, she weighs 19 pounds, and she has a classic blue merle “doodle” coat. Winnie was a stray, and when she was brought to her local animal shelter her coat was completely matted and it had to be clipped quite short. It will be gorgeous in no time, but it is important that her adoptive family understands that this type of coat requires daily brushing and monthly grooming. Winnie is housebroken, crate-trained and she is just starting to learn her basic obedience commands. Her leash-walking skills are outstanding and she is a wonderful passenger in the car.
Winnie loves people, although she is just a bit shy when she meets someone new. She is a high Velcro little girl who will follow you everywhere, and she is always ready for some cuddle time! Winnie is also a medium energy dog who loves to play and cuddle with other dogs – chase is her favorite dog game. She also loves to do zoomies around the yard, play with her toys, chew on a good bone, and she is always on the lookout for an opportunity to get another pet, belly scratch or cuddle! Winnie has not been exposed to cats, but she has a very high prey drive so cats should not share a home with her.
The ideal family for Winnie is happy, loving, and ready to open their home and lives to this fun little dog. Winnie’s ideal family would have someone home for much of every day as she LIVES for people, and a fenced yard would be nice. She also would enjoy the company of another playful young dog, and any children in the home should be at least 10 years old. Little Winnie is so ready for adoption, and if you are interested in knowing more about our application process please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org. Winnie is fostered in Gastonia, NC.
Winnie's adoption donation is $300.
