Thelma is a cute petite red Australian cattle dog. She is the perfect size at just under 20lbs and 7 months old. Don’t let her small stature fool you, she is all cattle dog with all the sass that comes with them. She is up to date on all her vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea and tick and heart worm prevention.
Thelma would love a new home with a fully fenced in backyard. She has springs in her feet and loves to run like a deer and jump! She does love to chase furry animals so she cannot go to a home with cats or small animals. Thelma’s foster mom thinks she would really excel at nose work or barn hunt because her nose is always on the ground. They have taken her to agility classes and she had a lot of fun so Thelma would really like to continue that in her new home. She has energy for days so walks will not cut it for her - she needs an outlet like going hiking daily or a good long run. Thelma would make a great exercise buddy!
Thelma loves to learn and her foster mom says she is so smart. Thelma has learned down, sit, and is working on the 2 on and 2 off position for agility. She also started single jump work and loves it. She is little wary of strangers but warms up quickly with some treats (as long as the new people bring her food, she’s happy). Thelma finds children a bit scary and likes to chase things so she cannot go to a home with children. Thelma’s foster mom says she is the perfect cattle dog, and any new home would be lucky to have her. We agree!
