Terry is a handsome Spaniel/Aussie mix who is ready for his forever home. He is 4-5 years old, weighs 49 pounds and has a very nice mostly white and tan coat with black freckles! Terry is housebroken, crate-trained and knows sit, shake, and will walk nicely on a leash with a harness. He rides nicely in the car but sometimes gets distracted by a dog or squirrel!
Terry loves his people. When he meets someone new he is a bit reserved and will definitely let you know that you have company, and once he knows you are his friend he is your friend as well! He is a medium energy dog who does not really play with toys. His favorite things to do are hang around the house with his foster family and go for lots of walks – he is quite the walker and we think he may be quite the jogger! Terry gets along great with the female dogs in his foster home and seems to really prefer the “lady dogs”. Males do nothing for him. Terry mostly ignores cats (but may give chase at first for a bit).
The ideal home for Terry is a quiet one, with a person or family looking for a guy who is happy to hang out with them around the house and yard. A fully fenced yard is important and a “lady dog” friend would be fine with him. A commitment to continued training and he will go far toward being your best friend ever, and he does need a strong human leader who can give him structure.
