Taro is a cute, friendly Australian Shepherd puppy who is available for adoption. He is 4-5 months old, he weighs 22 pounds, and he has a gorgeous, fluffy red merle coat and different colored eyes! Taro is crate-trained, he is almost housebroken, and he already knows a number of his basic obedience commands. He is getting the hang of leash-walking, although he gets bored with these lessons and starts tugging and chewing on his leash, and he is a great passenger in the car.
Taro loves people! He is one of those puppies who has never met a stranger – the more people to meet the better! Taro also loves other dogs, although he is intimidated by big dogs who come on too strong – after all, he is just a puppy! Taro is a high-Velcro, high-puppy energy little guy. He loves to stay close to his humans while he zooms around the yard, plays with his ball, plays with his toys and plays with his dog pals. And like all puppies, naps and quiet times are always part of the mix. Taro is also great with the resident cat!
The ideal family for Taro is active, experienced, and ready for the fun and responsibility that come with welcoming a happy little puppy into their home. It is also very important that Taro’s new family pay attention to his ongoing needs for socialization and training. A fenced yard is important, another playful young dog would be ideal, and because he is still nipping with those little puppy teeth any children in the home should be at least 10 years old. Taro is one amazing little guy who is ready for his amazing new family, and if you would like to review our adoption process and complete an application please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org. Taro is fostered in Washington, DC.
Taro's adoption donation is $350.
