Mylo is a handsome young purebred Australian Shepherd who is ready for his forever home. He is 11 months old, he weighs 55 pounds, and he has a gorgeous blue merle coat. Mylo is housebroken, crate-trained (but doesn’t love it!) and he is quickly learning his basic obedience commands. Mylo’s leash walking skills are very good and he is a great passenger in the car.
Mylo loves people – he has never met a stranger! He is a medium Velcro guy who loves to be around his people but he does not get underfoot. Mylo is also a medium-to-high energy dog with an “off switch”. He does need a good amount of exercise every day, but after the exercise he settles nicely for some belly scratches and maybe a quick nap. Mylo has a wide-open approach when he meets other dogs, and so slow introductions are a must. He does very well with more submissive dogs. Whether it is with dogs or people, Mylo loves walks, runs around the yard and playing ball. Mylo has not been tested with cats.
The ideal family for Mylo is physically active, Aussie-savvy and ready for exercise, training time and lots of fun! A fenced yard is important, a submissive, energetic dog pal is welcome but not required, and children should be over the age of 12. Mylo would make a great jogging partner! Mylo is a handsome youngster of a dog in search of a family who can help him grow to be the best dog ever. If Mylo is a great match for your family apply today! Mylo is fostered in Herndon, VA.
Mylo's adoption donation is $300.
