Miya is a cute little Australian Shepherd/Sheltie puppy who is available for adoption.  She is about 4 months old, she weighs just 9.6 pounds, and she has a soft, mostly brown and white coat and an always-wagging white-tipped tail.  Miya is housebroken and crate-trained, and she is just starting to learn some basic obedience commands – she is a smart little cookie!  She has just started to walk with a leash and is going pretty well, and she rides nicely in the car when crated.

Miya is a little shy when she first meets a new person, but once she warms up she is your little shadow.  Miya is also a high energy little puppy who alternates short naps with “full speed ahead”!  She loves playing with other dogs, and she will keep playing until the other dog sends her the signal that playtime is over for now – she is very respectful of those cues.  When not playing with her dog pals, Miya loves to chase balls, play (or destroy!) dog toys, and be held in her foster mom’s arms like a little baby.  Miya has not been exposed to cats.

The ideal family for Miya is smart and active, just like she is, and ready for puppy teeth, puppy training and puppy fun!  A fenced yard is required, another playful dog or two would be fabulous, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.  Little Miya is a little gem of a puppy, and if you would like to learn about our adoption process and complete an application, please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org.  Miya is fostered in High Point, NC.
