Kiwi is a darling young Aussiedoodle who is now available for adoption.  She is 12 months old, she is a few pounds underweight at 38 pounds, and she has the most gorgeous blue merle coat and striking blue eyes.  Kiwi is house-trained and crate-trained (though she doesn't love it!).  She is also starting to learn on her basic obedience commands – she is a fast learner!  Kiwi’s leash-walking skills are improving and she rides nicely in the car.

Kiwi is a lovebug!  When she meets someone new she is shy for about 30 seconds, and then she's in your lap for pets and belly rubs.  Kiwi is a medium Velcro girl who loves to be with her humans and she keeps an eye on where they are, but she will also explore and play on her own. Kiwi ABSOLUTELY LOVES other dogs.  Kiwi is a high energy girl with a nice off switch.  She loves to zoom around the yard and play, play, play with her foster dog pals – wrestling and chase are her favorite games.  Once her exercise needs are met, Kiwi has a nice off switch, and she loves to cuddle on the couch with her foster family and play with her toys.  Kiwi has not been exposed to cats.

The ideal family for Kiwi is active, loving, and ready for some serious snuggles and adventures.  A fenced yard and another playful dog (or two!) are required, and any children in the home should be at least 10 years old.  Kiwi also has a lot of puppy left in her, so ongoing training will be important, and she requires regular grooming to keep her pretty coat in tip top shape.  Kiwi is such a sweet dog, and if you would like to learn about our adoption process and complete an application, please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org.  Kiwi is fostered in Alexandria, VA.
