June is a pretty Miniature American Shepherd puppy who is available for adoption. She is 4 months old, she weighs just under 15 pounds, and she has a soft blue merle coat. June is working on her crate training and potty training and doing well! She is also learning her basic obedience commands. Like many puppies her age, leash-walking is still a work in progress and she already rides pretty nicely in the car.
June did not have a lot of contact with people before she came into rescue, and so meeting new people is very scary for her. With time, patience, and slow-but-steady socialization, June does get comfortable with people and it is wonderful to watch her sweet personality start to blossom. June may be very scared of meeting new people, but she LOVES meeting and playing with other dogs! June is a high-energy, athletic little puppy who loves to play chase with her dog pals, play with toys (she can already open the doggie toy box!), and just hang out with the dogs and people she loves. She is a serious cat-chaser.
The ideal family for June is loving, patient, active, and willing to open their hearts to this very deserving puppy who needs just a little extra help to thrive. It’s very important that her new family be committed to continuing her slow but steady socialization, and of course continuing her training is also important – she is a smart little cookie! A fenced yard and a playful dog pal or two are required, and any children in the home must be at least 12 years old.
