Gordon is a super happy, enthusiastic Aussie mix who is ready for his forever home. He is about 1 year old, is about 35 pounds, and has soft, short, easy-to-care-for coat. Gordon is smart and eager to please. He is housebroken, crate-trained and is quickly learning his basic obedience commands. He is food-motivated and praise-motivated – a pleasure to train! He is working on his leash manners and is a great passenger in the car.
Gordon would make a great training apprentice - he loves to learn! He still has some bouncy puppy in him, so he would do best in a home without very small children – he could accidentally knock over a small child. Gordon also loves to play with other dogs. He has been boarded once and got an A+ in his play groups! He also lives with other dogs are does great. He has not been cat-tested. He does love his people, and wants to be with you a lot! He crates well but would rather be playing with, learning from, or chilling with his person.
The ideal home for Gordon is an active one, with a person or family who is ready to have a smart, loving Aussie mix join them in adventures, exercise and fun! He would benefit from an experienced owner who can continue his training, and a fenced yard so that he can get his workouts in the safety of an enclosed space. Another confident, playful dog would be fine, but no children under the age of 12. Gordon is an amazing young and happy guy who has so much love and fun to give.
