Frankie is a very happy young Border Collie mix who is ready for her forever home! She is about 2 years old, she weighs 33 pounds, and she has a pretty white coat with some black around her ears and face. When Frankie was rescued she was suffering from a serious flea dermatitis, but it is healing well and her coat is starting to grow back! Frankie is housebroken, crate-trained, and she knows a few of her basic obedience commands. Her leash walking skills are a work in progress and she is a great passenger in the car.
Frankie is a little shy when she first meets a new person, but she warms up quickly! She is a medium Velcro dog who will follow you from room to room but is not underfoot. Frankie also loves other dogs. This medium-to-high energy girl loves to run around the yard, wrestle with her dog pals, chase balls and squirrels and carry her toys everywhere, and when all the outside play is finished she settles nicely inside. Frankie is a cat-chaser.
The ideal family for Frankie is active, available and full of fun! A fenced yard is required, another playful dog (or two!) would be great, children should be over the age of 12, and please – no cats! It is also important that Frankie’s new family continue her obedience training as she has so much potential. Frankie is so ready for her best new life, and if you are a great match for this great young girl apply today! Frankie is fostered in Hendersonville, NC.
