Who said you can’t find a perfect puppy!? Meet Bailey, a 3 month old Miniature American Shepherd puppy who will be ready for adoption at the end of the month! Bailey is 16 pounds and has a soft black, tan, and white coat. Bailey is working on her crate training and potty training and doing pretty well! She is also learning new obedience commands and already has mastered the “sit!” command. Like many puppies her age, leash walking is a work in progress and she is learning to ride well in the car.
Bailey loves people and other dogs! She loves to play with toys, too, and when the joy of it all becomes too much, she entertains herself by zooming around the yard. She loves hanging out with her people – whether that’s playing, taking long naps on the couch, or learning new things. She has a nice medium energy level and when it’s time to settle down, she’s happy to cuddle on the couch with her people. We are not sure how Bailey does with cats.
The ideal family for Bailey is active and ready for a puppy who is eager to learn. It’s also really important that a new family be committed to continuing her socialization and training – she is very smart and sweet! Bailey is still learning about people and other dogs, so a friendly, playful dog and a fenced yard would be ideal. As she is still a nippy herding dog puppy, children should be at least 12 years old.
