Jigsaw is a pretty Cattle Dog mix who is in search of a new home. She is 4 years old, she weighs 43 pounds, and her coat is truly multi-colored! Jigsaw is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. She is housebroken and has perfect house manners when left alone. Jigsaw knows her basic obedience commands, she walks pretty well on leash (although she will pull hard if she sees a squirrel!), and she rides nicely in the car.

Jigsaw bonds strongly to her family and she is not automatically friends with people she does not know – it takes time. She is a high Velcro girl but she does not get underfoot. Jigsaw gets along great with the dogs in her home but she can be reactive with dogs she meets when she is being walked on leash. When she spends time in doggie cay care or in the dog park she mostly ignores the other dogs. Jigsaw has a very strong prey drive and will chase squirrels, bunnies and any animal she finds in her yard, although she is good with the foster cats in her home!

How does Jigsaw love to spend her time? Her absolute passion in life is fetching Frisbees and balls. She lives to fetch! She is a medium energy girl who has bursts of crazy Frisbee-chasing energy followed by naps and time spent just hanging out.

The ideal family for Jigsaw is active, fun-loving, and Cattle Dog savvy. She would do best with a family who has a pretty quiet home with few visitors, she needs a fenced yard, other dogs in the home would be fine with her but not required, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old. Jigsaw bonds strongly with her owners and she will be a wonderful, constant companion, so it would be great if she could find a family where someone is home much of the day.
