Meet Roscoe (Gastonia, NC)

Updated: Mar 4

Age: 2 years old

Breed: Australian Shepherd (Male)

Gets along with: people, dogs

Location: Gastonia, NC

Roscoe is a goofy, happy young Australian Shepherd who is available for adoption.  He is 2 years old, he weighs 37 pounds, and he has a soft black tri coat.  Roscoe is housebroken, crate-trained, and he is just starting to learn his basic obedience commands.  His leash-walking skills are improving and he does best when he is walked with a harness.  Roscoe loves to ride in the car, and in fact he would love to drive the car, so a tether or crate is required!

Roscoe really loves all people, all the time!  He is a high Velcro guy who follows his foster parents from room to room.  Roscoe also loves other dogs.  He has more of a wide-open play style, he is maybe even a little pushy when it comes to starting a play session, but he takes correction well.  Overall, Roscoe is a medium-energy young dog with a nice off switch.  He loves to play in the yard, go for walks and play with his dog pals, and when it is “chill time” you can find him on the sofa getting pets, playing with his toys or chewing on a bone.  Roscoe should not share his new home with cats – he has way too much fun chasing them!

The ideal family for Roscoe is smart, active and ready for fun!  It is also important that his new family continue his training as he still has a lot to learn – he will still try to herd and can be a bit mouthy.  A fenced yard is required, another playful young dog would be welcome, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.  Roscoe is a silly, smart young guy full of promise, and if you are interested in adoption, you can complete our application and check out our adoption process.  Roscoe is fostered in Gastonia, NC.

Roscoe's adoption donation is $300.
