Ollie is a very handsome Australian Shepherd who is available for adoption. He is just over a year old, he is a great weight at 45 pounds, and he has a gorgeous red merle coat. Ollie is housebroken, crate-trained, and he knows a few basic obedience commands. His leash-walking manners are improving but he is not there yet. He REALLY wants to chase cars so his foster family is using an EZ Harness to help with his training. And he is a great passenger in the car – he loves to ride and when he is in a car he doesn’t try to chase those other cars at all!
Ollie loves people! This medium Velcro guy likes to keep his foster family in view but he is also very good at finding lots of ways to entertain himself. Ollie also loves other dogs. He is a high energy dog with a nice off switch. When it is playtime, Ollie loves playing with his dog pals. He does best with dogs who share his rough-and-tumble play style and are who are medium or larger in size. He also loves to zoom around the yard, play tug with his toys, play fetch, and go for jogs and hikes. And Ollie is always up for some serious pets and belly scratches! Ollie is fine with cats who are dog-savvy.
The ideal family for Ollie is active, engaged, and ready for fun! It is also very important that Ollie’s adopters continue his training and socialization. A tall privacy fence is required, another friendly, wide-open dog pal or two would be great, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old. Ollie is such a great young guy who is still a work in progress – but so worth it!! If you would like to review our adoption process please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org. Ollie is fostered in Orlando, FL.
Ollie’s adoption donation is $300.
