Willow is a wonderful young Australian Cattle Dog who is ready for her forever home. She is just over a year old, she weighs 37 pounds and she has that classic, short Cattle Dog multi-colored coat. Willow is housebroken, crate-trained and she knows some basic obedience commands. She walks nicely on leash and she is a great passenger in the car.
If you have been watching our posts you know that several months ago Willow was run over by a car and her pelvis was broken in two places. She is healing very nicely! This little sweetie is now walking, chasing squirrels (in short bursts), and exploring the yard with her foster dog pal. Willow is getting stronger every day, and her veterinarians believe that some swimming and more walking will do wonders for her.
Willow loves everyone, she has never met a stranger! This medium Velcro girl loves to be close to her foster family, and anyone who will give her a belly rub or snuggle is a friend for life. Willow also enjoys the company of other dogs. She is not able to be playful as she is still healing, but she does well with dogs who are what we call “peaceful co-existers”. These are dog pals who like to hang out with her, eat next to her, share a dog bed and even share the sofa, but they are not going to be wrestling/jumping buddies. Willow is also fine with cats!
The ideal family for Willow is loving, patient, and happy to continue her journey to be the happiest, healthiest dog she can be. A fenced yard is required, a peaceful co-exister dog pal would be fine with her, and because she still nips like a Cattle Dog, any children in the home should be over the age of 12. Cats are welcome! Willow is so sweet and happy, and she is so ready for a loving family of her own. If you are a match for Willow, apply today! Willow is fostered in Clarkston, GA.
