Molly is a very sweet, laid-back purebred Australian Shepherd who is ready for her forever home. She is 6 years old, she is overweight at 66 pounds, and she has a beautiful, fluffy, blue merle coat that was shaved by her previous owner for the summer. Molly is housebroken, she loves her crate, and she knows a few obedience commands. She still pulls some when walking on leash and she loves to ride in the car.
Molly is reserved when she first meets someone new, but once she realizes that the person is friendly she warms up nicely. Molly used to live with an elderly single woman in a very remote area, and so she warms up more quickly to women than men. Molly is a medium Velcro, lower energy girl who loves to be wherever her humans are. She is quite the homebody, preferring to hang out inside, snuggling and napping! Molly will walk around the yard and even go for walks in the neighborhood, but inside the house is her favorite place to be. Molly is fine with other dogs who are like her – quiet, not really playful – but she also does fine as an only dog. Molly will chase cats.
The ideal family for Molly is quiet, loving and homebodies just like she is! A fenced yard would be great and another quiet, laid-back dog is fine but not required. Molly would do best in a home without children – too much noise and energy for her! It is also important that Molly’s adopters continue her weight loss journey with regular outdoor exercise. Molly had a rough start in life and she is ready to enjoy a comfortable, safe and loving future. If you are a great match for this sweet girl apply today! Molly is fostered in Beaufort, SC.
Molly's adoption donation is $300.
