Luna is an energetic and fun-loving Collie mix who is ready to find her forever home! She is 9 months old, she weighs 42 pounds, and she has a unique wiry coat with shades of black and brown and a “splotch” of white on her nose. Luna is housebroken, crate trained, and she is still working on her basic obedience commands. She is VERY food motivated and willing to learn as long as she’s getting those tasty treats! Luna does great in the car and she is always up for a fun adventure. She is still working on her leash training - she is still a puppy so she pulls very hard on the leash when she’s excited.
Luna LOVES people and she has never met a stranger! She is your typical young herder mix who needs both mental stimulation and physical activity. Luna loves to be engaged in day-to-day activities and join in on all the adventures the family has to offer - both training and exercise, it’s all fun for her. Luna is high energy - she really needs activities to help her use up all of her energy. Her foster family thinks that she may be a great agility prospect, hiking partner, or maybe even a dock diving diva! Luna is also a medium-to-high Velcro dog. She really enjoys being with people but she will also entertain herself when her humans aren’t around. Luna gets along nicely with other dogs but she is not really playful. She will occasionally play with them if they initiate play, but she never initiates play herself – she lives for humans. Luna does not do well with cats – she enjoys chasing them too much!
The ideal home for Luna is an active one, with a family who is ready to have an energetic (and cute) girl join them in all of their adventures, exercise, and fun! Luna will be at her best with family with dog experience who can keep her mentally and physically stimulated as well as continue her training. A fenced yard is required for this spirited girl and another dog pal would be just fine. Luna is a work in progress who will still jump with enthusiasm and occasionally nip with excitement, so she would do best in a home with children over the age of 12. And no cats please! If Luna sounds like your perfect dog pal, apply today!! Luna is fostered in Yulee, FL.
Luna's adoption donation is $300.
