Bailey is a young, frisky Border Collie who is ready for his forever home. He is 1 year old, weighs 50 pounds and he has that classic black and white Border Collie coloring. Bailey is housebroken, crate-trained, and while he knows his basic obedience commands the does not always choose to follow them! He walks nicely on leash and he is a very good passenger in the car.
Bailey is a friendly guy who loves people. Bailey is a high energy, medium-to-high Velcro boy who does have an “off switch” but a lot of play happens before then! He loves to do almost anything active with his foster family – walking, hiking, playing ball, etc. He also LOVES to play with other dogs. He did not have a chance to play with other dogs before he was rescued, and he is still learning how to “talk dog”. He sometimes misses their cues when other dogs have had enough of the game; he just loves to play and play and play. Bailey also chases cats, squirrels, bugs, birds, anything that he spots while running in the yard!
The ideal home for Bailey is an active one, shared with a family who loves to play and is ready to add another frisky player to the “home team”. A fenced yard and another young, playful dog are required, Border Collie experience is a plus, children over the age of 12 are welcome (he still jumps up on people and could easily knock over a small child!), and no cats please. Bailey is a diamond in the rough; a fun-loving, happy, active guy with so much potential who needs a family that will continue his training and include him in the action. We think he may enjoy dog sports that challenge his body and brain! If you are ready for a Bailey in your life, apply today! Bailey is fostered in Birchwood, TN.
Bailey’s adoption donation is $275.
