Mango is a handsome, funny, young Australian Shepherd who is now available for adoption.  He is about 1 year old, he is a great weight at 42 pounds, and he has a soft, fluffy blue merle coat.  Mango is housebroken and crate-trained (but is NOT a fan), and he is so funny because he will “talk” to you if he is in the crate and you are close by – not bark but talk!  Mango walks nicely on leash and he is just starting to learn his basic obedience commands.  He is also a great passenger in the car.

Mango loves all people all the time!  So many things about homes, treats and people are new to him, and he loves them all.  Mango is a high Velcro guy who wants to be near his people as much as possible – he is catching up on his human time!  Mango also enjoys playing with other dogs, especially the females who are about his size.  He is a higher energy boy with a nice off switch.  Mango loves to hang out with people, play with other dogs and go for walks and jogs.  And when it is time to relax Mango will quietly play with his toys and stay close to his foster parents, hoping to get as many pets and belly scratches as possible.  Mango has not been exposed to cats.

The ideal family for Mango is loving, active, and ready for a funny, active young pal!  It is also important that his new family be committed to Mango’s further training and socialization.  He has so much potential and he is having so much fun learning new things.  A fenced yard is required, another playful dog would be fine with him (he would like us to request a “gal pal” on his behalf!), and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.  Mango is ready for his next great adventure, and if you would like to review our adoption procedure and complete an application please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org.  Mango is fostered near Greenville, NC.
