Loni is a very playful and loving Australian Shepherd mix who is ready for her forever home! She is 11 months old, weighs 31 pounds, and has a black and tan coat with a full tail. When she was rescued, Loni had a skin condition that caused her to lose some of her hair, but she is recovering nicely and she is going to be even more beautiful with a nice full coat when it regrows!!  Loni is housebroken, crate trained, and is learning her basic obedience commands.  She is very treat motivated so training is easy.  Loni does well in the car and is working on her leash walking skills - she does pull when she gets really excited.

Loni loves everyone, all the time, and has never met a stranger.  She is a treat-loving, ball-chasing, play-hard kind of gal! Loni is a high energy girl who LOVES a good game of chase with her dog pals or playing tug-of-war with her people. Loni plays a lot but she does have an off switch, and when playtime is over she will quietly play with her toys or search out a human for some attention and pets.  She is a medium Velcro girl who likes to be with her humans but does need to be under your feet.  When it comes to her “people manners”, Loni is a work in progress who will still jump with enthusiasm, so she would do best in a home without small children. Typically, Loni ignores cats but occasionally tries to play with them, and she does play with the dog-savvy cat in her foster home.

The ideal home for Loni is an active one, filled with people who will keep her mentally and physically stimulated, continue her training and include her in all the fun!  A fenced yard is critical, another playful dog is ideal and children over the age of 10 are welcome.  Dog savvy cats are welcome too!  If Loni sounds like your perfect, playful gal pal, apply today!!  Loni is fostered in Orlando, FL.

Loni's adoption donation is $275.
