Denim is a sweet, friendly, young Australian Shepherd who is now available for adoption.  He is two years old, he weighs 56 pounds, and he has a gorgeous blue merle coat.  Denim is housebroken, crate-trained, and he has made excellent progress learning his basic obedience commands.  He walks very nicely on leash and he is a great passenger in the car. 

Denim loves people!  He loves meeting new people and getting lots of pets and scratches.  Every so often a new person makes him nervous, but he warms up quickly with some treats!  Denim is a low-to-medium energy guy who enjoys his walks, his chew toys, short games of fetch, and people-watching.  Denim also gets along great with other dogs!  He likes to meet new dogs and greets them with a happy wag of his little “nub”.  He is not really a playful dog but more of a peaceful co-exister, happy to hang out alongside other dogs but not engaging them in dog wrestling or chase.  Denim will chase cats but he responds well when they “correct” him!

The ideal family for Denim is friendly, easy-going, and ready for a friendly, easy-going young Aussie!   A fenced yard is ideal, another laidback dog would be fine with him, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.  It is also important that Denim’s new family be committed to making sure that he gets his exercise!  Denim is such a sweetie, and if you would like to review our adoption process and complete an application please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org.  Denim is fostered near Melbourne, Fl.
