Cody is a fun, handsome Australian Shepherd who is available for adoption.  He is 4 years old, he weighs 50 pounds, and he has a very nice black tri coat.  Cody is housebroken, crate-trained, and he knows several of the basic obedience commands.  His leash-walking skills are improving but they are still a work in progress – he wants to pull in the direction of anything that excites him!  Cody is a great passenger in the car.

Cody like people, and if you are his people he LOVES you!  He is a high Velcro boy who wants to stay as close to his people as possible.  When it comes to other dogs, Cody is what we call a “peaceful coexister”.  He mostly ignores the other dogs in his foster home, and when he is introduced to new dogs he does a quick sniff and then he is off to find his people again!  Cody is a higher energy dog with a nice off switch.  His favorite things to do include going for walks – he loves walks!  Cody also loves to fetch and play with his toys, and go for car rides.  And when Cody is ready to relax, he loves to cuddle and get lots of pets.  He has not been exposed to cats.

The ideal family for Cody is active, friendly, and ready for a true best friend and little shadow.  A fenced yard is required and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.  Cody would also be happiest in a home where he is the only dog, maybe as someone’s best buddy, jogging partner and “dog about town”.  Cody is such a great dog and he has so much love to give his new family.  If you would like to learn about our adoption process and complete an application please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org.  Cody is fostered in Beverly Hills, FL.
