Chief is an energetic and fun-loving purebred Border Collie with a personality that matches his good looks! He is 1 year old, weighs 60 pounds, and has a soft, fluffy black and white coat. Chief is housebroken, crate trained, and knows several basic obedience commands. He really loves to learn and is food-motivated and praise-motivated – a true pleasure to train! Chief loves car rides and does well on the leash but will still pull in excitement.
Chief is your typical young Border Collie – a high energy guy with a desire to perform a task and please his people. He loves both mental stimulation and physical activity. Chief loves to learn, adores playing with toys, and even enjoys a good romp in the water! His foster family believes he would be a great agility prospect or running partner! Chief is a medium-Velcro dog. He enjoys some independence but he also really enjoys a good cuddle session with his humans. Chief loves engaging in a good play session with other dogs and thoroughly enjoys the company of another dog in the household. He does not do well with cats – he enjoys chasing them too much! Chief is a work in progress who will still jump with enthusiasm, so he would do best in a home without small children.
The ideal home for Chief is an active one, with a family who is ready to have an intelligent Border Collie join them in all of their adventures, exercise, and fun! Chief will be at his best with an experienced dog family who can keep him mentally and physically stimulated as well as continue his training. A fenced yard is required for this energetic boy and another playful dog pal would be great. Children over the age of 12 are welcome, but no cats please.
